book synopsis ~

“If there ever was a race-traitor job, this was definitely it.”

Revik, infamous seer and ex-lieutenant of the Rooks’ dark army, arrives in London with a new job, a new home, and new people watching him.

Some want to control him, some want to bed him, and some want to kill him for a past he can’t seem to escape. None of that exactly helps him do his shadow job, his real job, as guardian to the holy Seer known as “The Bridge.”

As for the Bridge herself, she has no idea who she is, or even that she’s Seer. Known by her human friends and family simply as “Allie,” she definitely has no idea of the powerful forces arrayed against her, or those trying desperately to protect her.

Instead, she grapples with her new relationship with Jaden, a sexy musician drawn to her on first sight. No one in Allie’s life likes Jaden very much. Not her brother, not her mother, not her best friend, Cass… and certainly not Revik himself.

It isn’t long before Revik begins to hate Jaden, even before he’s admitted to himself why.

That’s true well before Jaden gives Revik a really good reason.

CONTENT WARNING: There are tough, adult themes in this book including sexual assault, drugging, dubious consent, and out and out rape. While the rape is not graphically shown (it’s not shown at all, only alluded to), the way these issues are dealt with is complex and definitely challenging. Exercise caution if these are difficult or traumatizing subjects for you as a reader.

SERIES NOTE: This is a Revik and Allie prequel novel in the BRIDGE AND SWORD series.

* * *

Psychic suspense. Apocalyptic. An epic, soul-crushing, world-spanning science fantasy series that gets dark, dark, dark… but also contains a lot of light.

THE BRIDGE AND SWORD SERIES is a dark, gritty psychic warfare epic from a USA TODAY and WALL STREET JOURNAL bestselling author. Set in an alternate version of Earth where a second race of beings called “Seers” live alongside humans, this is for fans of romantic, character-driven science fiction and fantasy worlds, filled with twists and turns and backstabbing betrayals, with heroes and villains who are often the same people.

Hope everyone enjoys the new book!

In other news, I just ordered paperback covers for the re-brand of Vampire Detective Midnight, and I'm working on edits / revisions for Angels in L.A. I also just put up new covers for the SEER WARS serials, which you can see if you CLICK HERE>>>

I also (FINALLY) got a date for my surgery, which is going to be happening in just a little over two weeks. Although it's a little later than I hoped, it's a huge relief to have an actual day/time on the calendar. Now I'm just going to be getting as much done as I can in the time I have left. That means continuing to work on ANGELS IN L.A., and stockpiling a bunch of serial episodes so those will continue to go out for at least a few weeks while I'm recovering. I have no idea how long this thing will knock me on my butt, but I'm planning on a 2-3 weeks minimum before I can do a whole lot.

On the plus side, I got some great bed cushions and a work table, so I'm hoping I can still tinker a bit, even while I can't do a lot of physical stuff.

But overall, I'm really happy the whole thing's in process! There are still a lot of question marks around it of course, but assuming all goes well, I should be in for a new phase of my life on the other side.

Hope everyone is enjoying their May / Spring / long light days, and that things are good with you and your world!

Love + Light,
