Everything gets darker...
This book ended up being quite a bit chonkier than the other two, which isn't that surprising really, since it's much more dual-POV than the first two books, and both Caelum and Leda have a lot going on.
It's also spicier, and the plot thickens (a LOT) with Malefic in prison and Dark Cathedral screaming for both Leda and Caelum's blood, seeing him as a blood traitor and her as an manipulative terrorist.
I don't want to give away too much about the plot, but there's a lot more of pretty much everything in this one. More interactions in the real world, more sex, more confusion, more magical overloads, more magical battles, and even some time spent with Caelum's family and at a festival in Bonescastle with fireworks and a real "date" at a posh restaurant.

Leda Shadow finds herself alone at Malcroix Bones Academy at the beginning of winter break. Caelum Bones, her sometimes enemy, sometimes ally, and recently, her sometimes something else, remains in hospital after his own father nearly killed him.
Her friends all scatter to the wind, or so she thinks, until a group of them begin to coalesce among those who stayed behind. When Caelum returns to campus, they form a sort of “Holiday Club,” digging into archives both inside and outside the school for a dangerous and secret project led by Lucifer “Luc” Mocking, one of Leda’s closest friends.
Meanwhile, events outside the school’s walls are heating up, with governments across Magique growing increasingly unstable after the capture of the charismatic “face” of Dark Cathedral, Caelum’s infamous father, Malefic Bones. Violence erupts from their supporters, and calls for the release of the prisoners grows louder and more insistent.
Then people begin to disappear. Before Magical law enforcement can find them, they always reappear, and claim to have no memory of where they were. Yet rumors circulate that they come back different.
When Caelum decides to take matters into his own hands, and investigate these disappearances himself, it unlocks a sequence of events that will change Leda’s life, and his life, forever.

Paperback and Harcover Copies...
One last note ~ I've mentioned this in a few other places, but if you're hoping to grab a paperback or hardcover copy of these books, they're definitely coming, but you might have to wait a little bit!
I made the decision to release the first physical copies of the book via Kickstarter, where I'm producing three different Special Editions full of human-made art, with foiled covers, a fantasy map (again made by an amazingly talented human artist), and other bling, including from stretch goals hit by the initial Kickstarter, which took place in February and is in the process of fulfillment right now. The two fancier editions (the Gothic and Art Deco Special Editions) also come with sprayed edges, book jackets, and and covers that feature even more original art. The first Kickstarter featured books 1-2, and I'm planning a second in autumn that will feature books 3-4 (although there will be an option then to buy the entire set, as well!).
I plan to sell special editions on my website after I've fulfilled all of those as well, but they won't have everything the Kickstarter editions offer, as they'll be standalones without the art packs, will be priced differently, etc.
So yes, paperbacks and hardcovers are coming! (there will be less bling-y retail versions too, to provide a more affordable option) But unfortunately you might have to wait a little while to get your copy. :)
